pretty good today MLK. lots of ice here and there but if you look around enough there is plenty of fun stuff to ski! some glades, some back stuff, and less traveled terrain

stop arguing about Jay its the best mountain in the east if you want to ski groomed and man made snow go ski hunter or windham and save the trip otherwise stop complaining its practically west skiing on the east

My first time at Pico today and i cannot wait to go back. The recent warm front killed New England skiing and riding but the groomers really recovered the mountain. Thin layer of snow over and icy base but made very enjoyable runs. Obviously there was some patches and closed trails, but this mountain has great potential. :)

Can someone post recent conditions instead of taking shots at each other? What are the runs that are open like?

got there right at 8am...no crowds, great conditions. once the trails got more crowded, it got pretty skied off and much icier. All and all, though, a great day

Sunday was rough, but thats Jay. the Flyer and Tram are susceptible to wind holds. I really just think a lot of you dont 'get' Jay. they have the lowest ticket price of any major VT mountain for a reason. They dont have services and amenities on par with the Okemo, kill, stowe mts, nor do they have as many cats or snowguns. what they have is better terrain with more natural snow than any of those mountains. its all about the weather, which in the ne kingdom is very variable. conditions at Okemo were terrible on Sunday whereas Jay had 6-8 in of fresh and packed powder that no one could ski after noon due to the holds. its a risk reward mountain.
