The best thing about Pico is that most people keep on driving up the road to Killington. I feel like it's kind of a secret place that only the locals know about. So, it's definitely not as crowded or intense as Killington. However, if you are looking for those intense runs, you might not find them here. Having said that, I really enjoyed it. This was our first trip of the year, and so after many months of not being on skis, this is the perfect place to get the rust out, and get your ski legs back. Also, it's a little bit closer to Rutland, which is where we typically stay, because it's cheaper than staying on the Killington access road. So, if you're spending a few days in the Killington area, I definitely recommend you try this place at least once, especially on a day that you want to chill out a bit and enjoy laid back Vermont skiing.
