95% of our skiing is midweek, so we can't comment on crowds or lifts on weekends. As expected, they're both fantastic mid-week.
The mountain offers plenty of varied terrain for all skill levels, and tons for intermediate to advanced intermediates. There are great views on many of the trails, and plenty of options to avoid the repetitive stupor you get at many of the mountains close to the NY metro area.
Our one gripe is the on-mountain food is pretty poor and relatively expensive. We usually buy sandwiches somehwere else and stash them in the dining area for when we come in.
Lots of nice restaurants nearby, and Harriman's at the Mt. Snow Summit offers very good food and great burgers at reasonalbe prices.
