All's well that comes down to the lift skiing on his/her two feet, I say. Hey, ya can't blame anyone (on earth) for the weather. This being my second trip to Mt Snow in 13 yrs (last in 1999), I was dreaming of skiing the entire mountain on packed powder. Oh the dismay to find a cloud of fog descending on the mountain with intermittent freezing drizzle on 23 Jan. Let's just say that I'm lucky I recalled the frontside to be somewhat devoid of black diamond terrain as I could not resolve the difference between fog and snow. Tuesday 24th was much better, with spring conditions. Tried a few blacks diamonds (had never these) ... Freefall and Chute on North Face which were very manageable. Good coverage on all the slopes and where thin spots existed, markers were up. I stayed in the village and took the Moover bus which had a convenient drop/off in the heart of the base area. Overall, I had loads of fun and plan on returning (but better to wait for forecast till I reserve lodging).
