Lift Lines, lack of grooming

Full review

Mount Snow has made a major investment on it's terrain park and has more jumps and pipes than almost any other ski resort. However, they have cut back on their grooming on the rest of the mountain. They now have 7 green and 6 blue trails that they promise to groom every day. So if you're a beginner or like groomed trails you'll get bored pretty fast at Mount Snow. They have 23 trails they call natural which means no snow making or grooming, these trails are almost always closed. The have 29 trails they call classic, which they promise to groom up to 3 times a week, however judging on my own experience last week they save the grooming for the weekend. They have only 3 high speed quad lifts out of the twenty lifts in service, so the lines do get long at times. The good part is the price is affordable if you go in for a ski and stay package. There is a variety of slopes available that will keep your interest for a few days, if conditions are good. Beware, Mount Snow caters to the weekend. If you're there during the weekdays be prepared to encounter snow making and grooming at any time.
