Air Travel:

The nearest larger airports to this southern Vermont resort are located in Albany, N.Y. (ALB), 68 miles from Mount Snow; Boston (BOS), 127 miles; and Burlington, Vt. (BTV), 165 miles. Southern Vermont Regional Airport in Rutland (SVR) provides carrier service and is 63 miles from the resort.

Many major national carriers enter the Albany International Airport (ALB) including US Airways, Continental, American, United, Delta/Northwest, and Southwest Airlines. Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston is a major national and international hub, serviced by US Airways, Continental, American, United, Delta/Northwest, Air Canada, Virgin America, AirTran, Jet Blue, Southwest, Air France, Alitalia, British Airways, Swiss International, and others. US Airways, United, Continental, Delta/Northwest, AirTran and JetBlue serve the Burlington International Airport (BTV).

Southern Vermont Regional Airport in Rutland (SVR) is served by Cape Air and JetBlue (code share) with regional flights to and from Boston.

By Car:

From New York City and points South: Take I-95 North to I-91 in New Haven, Conn. Take exit 2 off I-91 in Vermont. Use Route 9 West and drive 20 miles to Wilmington, Vt. Turn right at the stoplight onto Route 100 North and proceed nine miles to Mount Snow.

From Boston: Take Route 2 West to I-91 North and exit 2 in Vermont. Use Route 9 West and drive 20 miles to Wilmington, Vt. Turn right at the stoplight onto Route 100 North and proceed nine miles to Mount Snow.

From Albany and points West: Drive I-90 North to I-787 to Route 7 East to Bennington, Vt. Turn left at the stoplight onto Route 100 North and proceed nine miles to Mount Snow.

From Providence, R.I.: Take I-95 North to Route 146 North to the Massachusetts Turnpike. Take Mass Pike to I-91 North. Follow I-91 North to exit 2 in Vermont. Take Route 9 West 20 miles to Wilmington, Vt. Turn right at the stoplight onto Route 100 North. It is nine miles to Mount Snow.

From Montreal and points North: Take Route 15 South to I-87 in New York. Follow I-87 South to Latham exit 7. Take Route 7 East to Bennington, Vt. This becomes Route 9 in Vermont. Head East on Route 9 and drive 21 miles to Wilmington, Vt. Turn left at the stoplight onto Route 100 North. It's nine miles from this point to Mount Snow.

From the New York State Thruway: take I-87 North to Albany. Then use I-787 North to Troy. Follow Route 7 East to Bennington, Vt. At this point, Route 7 East becomes Route 9 East. Go 21 miles to Wilmington, Vt. Turn left at the stoplight into Route 100 North. It's nine miles from here to Mount Snow.

Ground Transportation:

Summit Ski Shuttle (800-599-8916; www.summitskishuttle.com) is a full-service ski trip transportation provider, specializing in private charters. Otherwise, consider car rentals from the airports for the easiest and most convenient access to Mount Snow.

Getting Around:

The MOOver, operated by the Deerfield Valley Transit Association, is a free transportation shuttle serving the Mount Snow Valley. The MOOver, painted like Holstein cows, has over 30 stops along the Route 9/Route 7.
