I currently have my 8 year old son enrolled in a 4 week clinic for snowboarding each Saturday of march and had never been to the snow bowl prior. We are into week 3 coming up and I can only describe the area as well ...it is like stepping out of a time machine to picture postcard old new england skiing. The trails are cut in classic fashion and do not expect high speed chairs. But that only adds to the charm. as you might expect the views up top are tremendous and the lodge is fairly new and features a giant/cozy fireplace. The skiing is nothing short of fantastic steeps/groomers/simply outstanding tree skiing and plenty of beginner terrain as well. To top it off because it is a fairly small area surrounded by legendary resorts the lift lines are nonexistent. As for my sons experience his snowboard instructor told him his ridding rocked and he is having a blast as he receives from what I can tell is top notch instruction from a very professional instructor (same guy each week) and he is having a blast with it and that fact could not make me happier!! Great place to spend a day!!!!!!!!
