Variety of slopes, good grooming/snowmaking
Cold (if you don't like the cold), no natural snow
I realize i was very lucky on the weekend i came to killington, because it was pretty empty for a weekend. The cold apparently scared them away. If you enjoy the cold, you will LIKE it here. on the first day i skiied here it was -30F on the peak. without wind chill. so expect cold. It'd rained the week before a lot, so my dad and i weren't expecting great slopes. but the groomers at killington did an AMAAAZING job grooming runs like sky lark, superstar, header, and all around bear mountain and the superstar express
the thing that impressed me most in killington was the size. theres a BAZILLION different routes you can do on this mountain. u can just go. gogogogo. its like water skiing, endless terrain.
i hear nightlife is good at killington, which is shown by the "trophy" tree on one of the lifts.
it never snowed in the 5 days i was there, which was annoying. but they had a lot of snow making, so it was surprisingly nice to ski on.
