the bad thing about jay peak is their snow making and grooming operations are sub par and they rely on natural snowfall too much. other resorts hit with the recent warmth quickly got their trail count back up. not jay peak, though.

jay is so overrated. base is like 6". they lie about snowfall. the waterark is the focus. the snow making is a joke. they rely on lotta snowbut when thats not happening they got nothing. except a waterpark which they focus on.

The Jay faithful on here have Stockholm syndrome. They've forgotten what its like to be treated kindly. I've never witnessed more disdain for customers than I've experienced at Jay. Here's the true conditions report. Base is 1 - 10". 80% of trails are closed. 3 of 9 lifts are spinning plus the magic carpet. Only blues and greens accessible from lifts with lines 20 minutes long. Only 300 vertical feet of skiing. Lifts stop every 30 seconds while the hard core "Jay Birds" pick themselves off the ramp.
