Pros: Still lots of snow at Jay, soft so go early and enjoy the spring snow.

Cons: Some ice under the soft snow because of rain last week.

We went to Jay last week and got rained out. Went again Tues. Mar.17th and the skiing was excellent but soft. There was lots of snow covered slopes and plenty of sun and by 3pm our legs gave out and called it a day. Get to the area early and enjoy all their snow. Some ice under the slopes from the rain but still covered real well. The top did have more variable conditions and we were careful at intersections where it got skiied off and a little tricky. Good enough that we made reservations for next week at the Jay hotel.
