Jay Peak is the best ski mountain on the east hands down. Most snow in the east so powder days happen almost once a week. Great on slope and off slope skiing with nice powder stashes if you know where to look and big mountain steeps right off the tram as well as some great back country. So what if it gets cold and windy, man up and get some powder. Also who cares if there is no night life, if you ski this mountain like you should, you will be out and asleep by 10. Great mountain for a quick weekend trip when there's snow in the forecast.
