Burke Mountain Resort is an incredible spot for anyone who loves the outdoors. The mountain offers great skiing and snowboarding in the winter with well-groomed trails, short lift lines, and a friendly, laid-back vibe. In the summer, the mountain biking trails are world-class—perfect for all skill levels. The staff are welcoming, the lodge is cozy, and the views of the Northeast Kingdom are absolutely stunning. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, Burke Mountain delivers an authentic Vermont experience. Highly recommended!
Great terrain, No lines
Limited snowmaking

Love the terrain here. When the snow is good, it rivals the best areas in the East.
Incredible terrain
Limited snowmaking. Only one main lift. Lack of Apres Ski

I've been skiing here since I was 5, and it rarely disappoints. On powder day it's not crowded and it has better runs than most mountains in New England. Not as expensive as Stowe or other mountains in Vermont.
Great unmarked trails
Uphill run-out for some of the hardest runs

We came here as the mountain is famous for Burke Mountain Academy, but other than the race trails which were fenced off the skiing was not very good. Lots of potential but who ever owns the mountain is probably not a skier. The town of East Burke was fairly run down compared to other ski towns in Vermont. We usually ski at Okemo and Stowe, thought we would give Burke a try, but I doubt we'll be back.
Not crowded
A bunch of rocks and bare spots.

Been coming here for years and our family has loved the location, atmosphere and terrain. My two teenage sons were physically assualted here today.... right in front of main lodge. The senior management was incompetent in response despite eye witness accounts and was only interested once we initiated response with state police. To the father that apparently initiated....u r a coward!
Lack of management

Keep in mind that Burke Ski Academy has more Olympic skiers then any other ski school in the US. Nice new mid base hotel that amazing deals. As long as they have the snow I will drive right past the other VT mountains and hit it again
Great terrain, no lines best Apres I have seen
No lift from bottom straight to top

Purchased a ticket on their website prior to going. It was windy and none of the lifts were open so they said via phone no problem we will refund you. Of course they did not follow through on this and I am out $60. Then I tried calling back and was hung up on! Terrible!
less crowded on weeknds

Came on a mid-week powder day. Pleasantly surprised by the amount and variety of terrain on the upper mountain. Very little trail redundancy, as each had unique characteristics. Tree fields reminded me of Jay. Favorite runs: power line
Glades, trail variety, vertical
Uphill run outs, poor road conditions

When there is natural snow like now, this place is awesome. The glades, both marked and unmarked, are top 3 in the East. And even on weekends you get the place to yourself.

Went to Burke this past Saturday in warm spring-like conditions. This is after having spent the previous day at Jay Peak. Was amazed by the conditions despite the warm weather. Not much of the mountain was open, but what was there was great. Steep, fast, wide trails, long vertical. Fast lifts. Definitely a skiers mountain. Like how the beginners section and lift is separated from the rest. Will definitely be back and would actually choose Burke over Jay Peak any day. Great for laps and staff was also very nice. Also fun to see some amazing skiers from the Mountain Academy.
Long, steep trails, fast quad, good snow conditions despite limited trails being open.
