Our family has been to Bolton Valley several times. Twice was when there was a December thaw and torrential rain--temps approaching 55! We managed to have a great time even though only a few trails were open. A big plus is the sports center. Our December 2008 visit was just before Christmas and with a fresh coating of snow. Most of the trails were open and we enjoyed exploring the mountain. Lift lines were minimal. Atmosphere is relaxed. The food we had at the lodge was good and not too expensive. The ski and stay package was amazingly reasonable.
