We have skied all over North America but never in Europe. Zermatt was chosen because it is a high elevation mountain and December is notorious for poor snowfall. It did not disappoint. Excellent varied terrain. Extensive lift system. Fantastic organization and infrastructure. Plenty to ski even with low snowfall. Fantastic on piste restaurants. Beautiful town with many restaurants of all type and expense. Accomodations at all levels. All and all a great destination for a family ski trip for skiers of intermediate to expert.
