Full review

We spent a long weekend in Verbier a few years ago. While the conditions were not spectacular, the size of the mountain (actually, mountains) was impressive and the different types of terrain was great. Verbier is a series of interconnected peaks that can be, at times, a little difficult to figure out (the scale to which the trail maps are drawn is misleading - we were looking for a lift that appeared to be on the left side of the base area when reading the map -- it turned out to be across town on the other wall of the valley). As usual, the Swiss people were very nice and the town, though small, had a decent number of restaurants, bars, and shops. I am sure that with a little practice and some local knowledge, Verbier can be a great destination.
