    Verbier will open early on Saturday with excellent conditions thanks to large pre-season snowfalls. The ski club of britiain reports that it received another 16 inches (40cm) at the top and two inches (5cm) in resort in the past 48 hours.   • New, year-round educational trail opened in Saas-Fee

    Saas Fee, which boasts 300 days of sunshine each year, has opened a new "Sun Trail". The new run descends from the Hannig upper station - also called the Sonnenberg, or "sunny hill" - down to Café Alpenblick, taking about 25 minutes to make the descent.
