Have been to Canyons many times the past few years and I really consider it a great place to visit when in Park City. If staying in town, it is a short free bus ride to Canyons.....if you are staying right at the mountain, they have lots of ski in/out choices, as well as some of the nicest homes you'll see in Park City located within The Colony.
Canyons is special because it is so big, and it has so many options for so many different ability levels. I like to spend a lot of time off the 9900 lift because it provides some excellent advanced terrain and backcountry capability. But other great areas of the mountain can be found in the "Dream" areas off of Dreamcatcher and Dreamscape lifts.....now with the Iron Mountain expansion, it provides even more terrain to poach.......and if that was not enough.......I always try to get over to Murdock Peak/Bowl off the Super Condor Lift to finish off my day........there are just so many options.....that is what makes Canyons so special.
Canyons continues to get better, they are trying to compete with Deer Valley for that total ski vacation experience.....and to tell you the truth......they're making strides......and that can only mean a better vacation for the consumer.....
