Large number of slopes for each ski ability level.
Steep mushie drops unto long flats. Hard to attain speeds for propulsion across the flats.

Full review

From the Red Pine Lodge moving northward onto the slopes, one finds some of the most scenic outlooks I've encountered. This from a prospective of having visited about ten other resorts. From Red Pine Lodge to the southward slopes; my opinion is that the quality of the slopes improves significantly due to better shading and less snowmelt. True ski-in, ski-out is limited, however, two gondolas, one from the roadside parking lot and one from the base village to Red Pine Lodge make for very short walks from vehicle to slopeside. I'm and intermediate level skier and cannot speak to the advanced level ski experience.
