Low season-ticket price for youngsters; beginner firendly
My family and I have noticed a welcome change in the employees' treatment of locals. We've been season ticket holders for years, and in the past have felt like locals were not welcome. This year, every employee from parking lot attendants to food workers to lift operaters has gone out of his or her way to be friendly and helpful. We ski Sundance because it's close and convenient to home and has a good variety of terrain from Back Mountain bowls for the more-experienced grandkids to Stampede's wide, gentle slope for the youngest ones. Whenever there is fresh snow, Sundance is great for our family, and we do appreciate the new local-friendly attitude. Be forewarned, because of its location, Sundance does get icy without fresh snow. My one suggestion would be to run more snow machines more often.
