Full review

Like a mountain movie set, Robert Redford’s resort captures the sublime mood of the old western ski village. Explore it via the additional 20 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails at the Sundance Nordic Center. Sundance Resort installed snowmaking equipment on the lower mountain a few seasons ago but because they are the most southern of the Northern Utah resorts the season often starts late and ends early. You can also count on uncrowded slopes so long as BYU classes are in session. It can get a little boring riding the same few lifts over and over again so take the opportunity to learn a new sport. If you ski, snowboard. If you board, ski. If you already do both, tele-ski. And save your appetite for a full-blown lunch or early dinner at the base's Foundry Grill. Yummm!
