Solitude Mountain Resort has been our "home" resort for family vacations the past few years. Solitude provides my family of four the perfect ingredients to a great ski vacation. Here are the ingredients:
Snow Quality: Utah snow speaks for itself. The snow is so light and perfect whether it is a powder day......or a day in between the cycles....the snow is incredible.
Snow Quanity: Again, it speaks for itself.......any vacation to Utah.....you have a good chance to ski powder at least 1 day........
Uncrowded: Having been to Solitude every year for the past 8 years.......I have never been in a lift line.......you truly hit the terrain you want and go right into line........so nice..
Terrain: There is something for everybody.........My family (2 daughters-10,9) started out on the frontside hitting terrain off the Apex, and Eagle lifts......and now that they have become familiar with Solitude and their confidence and skills have grown.....we spend most of our day off the Summit and Powderhorn 2 lifts and back into Honeycomb Canyon......so there is terrain for all abiliities, it is neat to see the progression in young skiers.
Attitude: Everyone you meet from workers, to guests....everyone is laid back.....there to do one thing....enjoy themselves on a great mountain.
