what a difference a storm can make. epic knee deep pow all day today with light crowds and lifts spinning. Don't even try to compare the ant farm of Hunter Mtn, because there is no comparison. The East is seeing a good start to Winter no doubt, which will be melting down the side of the mountain next month. We've had a rough start here out West, but the season has a long way to go.

Hunter mountain is a bunny slope compared to Snowbird. I'm from the ice-coast (east coast) & ski upstate, VT, & NH for the last 30yrs. Skiing out west is orgasmic. 11,000ft summit is almost 4-times everything here on the east. Utah also has real snow, not man made, huge difference. A powder day out east is a rare occasion, powder days out west are phenomenal. The snow is not as heavy and the terrain is amazing. I highly recommend my fellow ice-coasters to head west at least once. It's wild! ps growing up on the ice-coast and skiing or boarding on frozen corduroy makes you look like an all-star when you get on real snow. Peace y'all!!

yeah snowbird might be the best if you like waiting an hour for the canyon to open. an hour inching up the canyon, and an hour in the tram line, and come to find everything is tracked out when you left SLC at 7am for a foot of snow. Bachelor tops birds snow levels and has the same vertical and a ton of more acreage. It's good to be here

This is utah, wait a few more weeks and it will be the best place in the world to ski like it is every season, back in the 70s and 80s sometimes the cottonwood resorts wouldn't open until January due to lack of snow!

Show me your thesis on how pollution a generation ago has caused a slow start to this ski season. What will you be saying when it's dumping a foot at a time and we end up with 450+" as usual? You've bought into the hype with no science to back it up. Just go ski.
