I was in Utah between 1-15th of January. Coming from New Zealand I had heard so much about how Utah has the greatest snow and decided I must have a go myself.
The first thing that strikes me about Snowbird is the Vertical. On the 12th we had about 20 inches of snow and the did about 60,000 vertical feet in a day with fresh tracks every run. Secondly when it has dumped at snowbird the size of the field just about doubles. You can huck off rocks everywhere!! On top of this the terrain is just sick. You ski from the top of the tram and after about 10minutes of hard skiing you think you must be near the bottom and you come over another ridge and you have basically a vertical decent of 1000 feet to the base
I will definitely be coming back.
