My husband and I visited Snowbasin the last week of January, 2009 - wow what a gem of a ski resort. You park and a shuttle picks you up and drops you at the base lodge. ALL the lodges are gorgeous! Beautiful chandeliers, staircases, fireplaces, 4 star food (not the usual pizza and hamburgers variety by far). The layout of the gondola to the lodges is perfect and ALL the runs are groomed and wide and beautiful. The drive from Eden, Utah is about 20-25 minutes and the roads were well maintained. We have NEVER seen such luxury in a ski resort until now. Everyone is so friendly, no lift lines and they really want to keep it a secret. Just wish there was lodging at the base and then it would be totally perfect. The food was unbelievably delicious. You don't just have cooks you have chefs individually preparing your meal! Every detail is top-notch! You would think you walked into european palaces when you walk into any of the three main lodges. Lift ticket prices were VERY reasonable! There were plenty of runs to keep us busy all week long! A definite must ski resort!
