We call Powder Mtn. the anti-Snowbasin because they are fairly close to each other and yet so different. Don't get me wrong, we love both resorts for there value and terrain. Powder is just the "Down home country girl" to Snowbasin's "Big city sister".
Don't let the name fool you, there are plenty of groomers here but you have to come for the powder. I'm sure there are areas of Powder that I haven't seen yet but in my expirence Paradise Chair is their crown jewel. Either side of the ridge below the chair is great adventure for the more advanced skier/rider. The tree skiing off Paradise rates with anything in the country and you can spend the whole day on the same chair without tiring of it. With 5500 acres, I believe the most in the nation, it's easy to find powder even 2 or 3 days after the last storm.
The Powder Keg is a nice "close knit" bar for the end of the day.
