My son traveled to Salt Lake on business working with a youth center and had one opportunity to go skiing while he was out there. Of all the place to go Powder Mountain was recommended by one of the youth directors. He rented his skis, got his lift ticket and went to the ski lift. They then informed him that they were closing the mountain due to windy conditions. He went back to the office to ask for a refund or a rain check and they told him no, the ski pass says no refunds due to bad weather. I can understand closing due to windy conditions but you cant tell me with all of the latest meterological technology that they could not inform him when he was purchasing his lift ticket that they were going to close within 20 minutes. They refused to refund his money or give him the opportunity to come back another day. This is very poor customer service and I would avoid going there. When he returned to the youth center he informed the person who recommended Powder Mountain to him and he was quite appalled and could not beleive they would do such a thing. Definately avoid this place on days when there is the possibility of poor weather conditions. They will rip you off.
