We are a group of skiers from the east and visited PowMow twice in the last three years, the latest in end of Feb. 2012.

This mountain is fantastic for SKIERS, not for spendy vacationers who want granite countertop in the bathroom. Low cost lift ticket and quality food (generous portions!), ideal for families and budget vacation. The vast terrain provides enough runs and back country skiing for all levels, no lines to get on the chair. Play with the trees if want, they are wide spread on shallow slopes. Of course, over Lightening Ridge you will find waist deep powder and cat skiing. The employees are VERY knowledgeable and friendly. They know this mountain like the back of their hand.

It is 45 minute bus from Salt Lake city, a little travel to get to. But just because of that, this mountain is well preserved of its beauty for natural wonders. PLEASE KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!

To put in a nutshell, if you want to ski 3 hours and spend the rest of the day shopping, drinking beer and be entertained, go somewhere else.
If you want to ski 6+ hours a day and explore the natural terrain, come here. This mountain is a hidden treasure.
