Wide open, wide, long runs. Powder bowls, chutes, trees. Powder Country. Cat skiing. AT terrain.
No nightlife. No fine dining. No Hollywood crowd (sorry, really a pro).
When 10 people typically go skiing, only 6 really want to ski, the others are along for the ride looking for "amenities" - shopping, fine dining, spas, night life, etc.. Those 6 skiers/riders should go to Powder Mountain. They will be delighted with the wide open, long and uncrowded runs. The other 4 "amenity seekers" probably wouldn't love it. Although the powder skiing is second to none in all of N. America, the groomers are equally fantastic. It's easy to find yourself, friends, family alone in the middle of a blue groomer run even on a weekend and wonder just how this place does it. The more than 5,500 acres of skiable terrain is the secret. With more terrain than any two or three other Utah resorts combined and less than half the skiers of most, skiers simply spread out across the mountains and lines rarely form. Not for everyone, just those who truly love to ski and ride.
