  • Best Boarders at Park City

    Park City hosted the best boarders in the world for the 2007 World Superpipe Championships last weekend. The athletes tore it up in the Eagle Superpipe, the world's largest superpipe and the site for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Boarders took three runs each, and in the end, the gold went to Shaun White, the 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist. For the women, Torah Bright won for the second year in a row. Full Article

  • Superpipe Skiers Tear It Up at Park City

    Park City had the best superpipe skiers in the world competing in the fifth annual World Superpipe Championships this past weekend. Simon Dumont came away with the $15,000 prize and title of 2007 World Superpipe Champion. Dumont, who finished second last year, had a stunning run to beat defending champ Tanner Hall. Full Article

  • Wild At Wolf Mountain

    Crazy contraptions will be coming down the hill this weekend at Utah's Wolf Mountain. It's the Spring Kick-off Weekend, featuring the infamous Soap Box Derby. Anything goes in this wild event, as long as skis or boards are involved. The competition starts at noon on Oh My Heck hill, off the Wolfdeedo Chair. Full Article

  • Utah Snow Preps Park City

    Powerful storms continued to sweep across Utah and Colorado, adding plenty of perfect powder to the bases to launch the spring skiing season. Park City racked up four feet of "The Greatest Snow on Earth" from the storms. Full Article

  • Storms Leave Snow In Utah and Colorado

    Powder is pounding Utah and Colorado. Snowbird has received around a foot and a half of snow with more expected this week. "A 16-inch storm like the one that came through Sunday is both important to help continue building a base and provides the fun powder conditions for which Little Cottonwood Canyon is known," said Snowbird President Bob Bonar.     Alta is signing up for wind power at the resort, promising to purchase 900,000 kilowatt-hours (kwh) for the next 12- month period. It will offset over 23 percent of Alta's energy consumption. Full Article

    Hit the Utah slopes for your skiing and riding pleasure! That's the message the Utah Office of Tourism is continuing to promote with its new "Life Elevated" logo.
