I can't rave enough about Deer Valley. There are NO CONS. We have been going for the last 5-6 years. Mountain is so well marked, and it's EASY to traverse. The peaks are spread out enough to offer great variety and spread the crowds out, but it's easy to go from one peak to another. The trails are great for every level of skier. The blues and greens are great cruisers, and the double blues and blacks offer steeper, more challenging terrain for the advanced skier. The Utah snow will never let you down, either. Ski storage for free overnight. Restaurants are great, and employees very nice and accommodating. Deer Valley isn't the cheapest destination for skiing in the US, but in my opinion, it's the BEST! This year, we decided to rent skis for a day to test some new equipment, and even their ski rental shop is amazingly well-run. They've got this down to an art.
