We have been going to Brighton for the last 10 years on vacation. We've seen some of the best years (100+ inches of snow in a few days) and some of the worst (no snow :( ).
The only thing that kept us coming back was the lodge twenty feet from the lift. The place isn't for everyone but it's definitely an affordable option. I do have to say that the lodge didn't seem to be maintained very well over the years. The staff was great, but I can't think of a single amenity they added to the lodge over 10 years.
This year was the last year we decided to book our vacation at Brighton. We went early in the season, so the snow was pretty pitiful. It didn't seem like the resort was keeping the place up. There was no terrain park or half pipe, and grooming was at a minimum. They have snow machines, why not use them to keep guests happy?
