Full review

We were in Brian Head the first week of January. (Yes, you can have fun in Brian Head for more than a day). We were pleased with Brian Head - and although we are only intermediates, we could see that there was a wide variety of runs - enough to please, for sure. There were virtually no lift lines and the runs all run downward to their connecting base area - so our son didn't take a wrong turn and get lost (it happened in keystone!). We would have liked to see nicer and faster lifts throughout - and on the assorted lifts we used I don't remember any safety bars on the beginner hill, the main Navajo lift, or some of the other Brian Head peak lifts (which is important if you have a hyper eight year old snowboarder with you). We also would have liked more attentive lift operators - we saw quite a few pile-ups... Both Mountains are beautiful - the approach to the resort doesn't have the hideous drop offs of some resorts. It is an easy in easy out experience - a good place to go for the simple pleasure of improving and having no crowds, hassles or wild riders knocking you down. Give it a try!
