The best snow on earth coupled with varied terrain and aspects, Alta always produces good to great skiing somewhere in (and around) its borders. The mountain spreads out and holds obvious and unobvious delights for both the casual and the hard core skier. Through the avalanche control gates lies another world to reward the diligent and adventurous at the same the family can cruise the blues and greens next door. The mountain infrastructure is efficient in a low key way, but takes a back seat to no one in terms of skiing effectiveness. When you add in the snow quality and quantity, its easy to understand why my family and I have skiied Alta every year since 1988. And why we have no intention to stop. Alta always delivers.
