My wife and I ski in upstate NY and Vermont almost every weekend during winters. It was our first time skiing in Utah (8-day skiing there). We went to a few other resorts including Park City, Snowbird, and Brighton for the first 3 days. Then we came to Alta... It has some kind of unexplainable charm to us. The scenary and, most importantly, its deep powder, along with all these unmarked trails (I believe they have named them but I really had problem locating them...) accessed through endless traverses are just like a dream to us. Though there was no new snow in the last few days, we can still find tons of soft, ungroomed powder everywhere. It is amazing. This trip totally changed us... My wife used to be against skiing moguls in the East because they are usually icy/hard but after this trip she became a complete mogul fan... Of course, untouched powder is even better... We decided to go back to Utah at end of Mar and will dedicate our days at Alta. And I believe we will come back again, again, and again...
