ALTA is the BEST. Period. This place rocks. NO BOARDERS. I read the review of a border claiming to be an expert and that Alta was lame. Yeah well boarders have ruined amost every other ski area in the country. Scraping off perfect bump runs into gaot tracks from hell. Not Alta. All the terrain is sweet. No jibbers ruining your day. There is no defense for borders infiltrating Alta or Taos. Some places remain sacred and they are sacred for a reason. Boarders are a scourge. Skiers would never care or want to ski an area that was "Boarders only". As a matter of fact we would love it if you had your own areas (which now is everywhere). Why can't you keep your knuckle dragging paws off the few holdout "ski only" areas? Because the lowest common denominator tries to bing everyone down. The worst skiers are way better than the best boarders. So if you love "SKIING" and want a great skiers experience and not feel like beating the crap out of some "stupid, blind headwall hucking, cigarette smoking, baggy pant, sittin on their ass at unload, morons" on an "any idoit can ride one" snowbard. Then go to Alta. Or better yet spend a day at Brighton (border hell) then spend a day at Alta and see if you don't agree. ALTA is one of the last pure skiing heavens. Thank you Alta for never giving in. The great spirit smiles on Alta......
