I've skied Utah for the last 15 years. my kids learned to ski there! Little Cottonwood canyon and Big are awesome Little Cottonwood has Brighton and Solitude. Big Cottonwood has Alta & Snowbird. (or vice versa) A few miles farther away are deer valley, the canyons and park city. if you really want to travel (1 hour) try powder mtn. THe canyons is the largest in the state. You can ski there all day and never ski the same trail twice . Eight (yes EIGHT) mountain tops. Park City is nice but expensive. Buy your tickets on the way at CANYON SPORTS on Ft Union Blvd. You can ski just about any resort for 50.00 a day or less if you buy them there. Look for me. I'll be out there from 1/13-1/20.
