  • On Ice In Breckenridge

    Old Man Winter is in Breckenridge. That's the winning sculpture in this year's Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championship, a creation of Team Oregon. The sculpture is of an older man reflecting on his life with a satisfied grin. Thousands of spectators watched as 14 teams from six countries participated in the event, now in its 17th year.     A Connecticut developer has purchased Lake Placid's highly lauded The Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa, the luxury resort that opened in 2005. Stamford, Conn., developer T-Rex Capital , which develops residential, commercial and government properties throughout the United States, announced Tuesday it purchased The Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid for an undisclosed price.
