    Austrian glacier ski area Pitztal is already several months in to its 2007-8 season. The area's newly built 8-seater Mittelberg gondola lift in the Pitztal is 2,400 m long and replaces the Mittelbergjoch l drag lift. Full Article

  • Long awaited Westendorf ski link to SkiWelt in progress

    A new 4.5km (three mile) long ski run links Westendorf to the rest of the SkiWelt this winter, and as of next winter (08-09) a new eight passenger gondola will make the return trip. The new "SkiWelt - Kitzbühel Alps" lift on the Westendorf Choralpe means Westendorf will at last be completely integrated into the SkiWelt. Full Article

  • Kitzbühel emphasises slalom significance for 68th and future Hahnenkamm races

    After last year's high profile cancellation of the downhill at the famous Hahnenkamm race at Kitzbuhel, the organizers of this year's event are heightening anticipation for the slalom race, which the resort did stage successfully last winter.
