Pros: Exclusive village, highh altitude, slopeside lodging

Cons: Not much there apart from the big hotels.

I skied over to Hochgurgl when I stayed in Obergurgl,. it seerms to be just a collection of large, luxury hotels and very little else besides.

I guess it is a great base if you can afford to stay there though as it is at a snowsure altitude (Obergurgl is already pretty snowsure) and there's fantastic skiing right on your doorstep as you leave your hotel, it is all designed to be ultra-convenient.
