I really like Madonna di Campiglio. It has a winning combination of a classy, and classic resort and excellent skiing on mostly tree lined runs which extend for aboput 100 miles with great long pistes that flastter moderate intermediate level skiers like me.

The village itself is pedestrianised so you can wander in peace around the great shops and cafes then oput on the slopes you can ski over to neighbouring resorts like Marilleva and Folgarida or even buy a regional ticket that encompassees a still wider area including the glacier skiing at Passo Tonale.
