Forca Canapine is located on the border between the Marche and Umbria; the road leading into the Tronto valley - and hence down to the Adriatic coast - passes through it. The area is characterized by extensive meadows and is dominated by the Monti Sibillini with their twin peaks of Monte Vettore and Monte Vettoretto. Far in the distance, the majestic Gran Sasso massif and also the beautiful Monti della Laga can be distinguished.
