The Milky Way ski area, site of the 2006 Olympic Games, includes several French and Italian ski resorts, nestled between the Frano-Italian border. Sauze d’Oulz, Sancicario, Cesana, Claviere, Montgenevre (the only French resort which accesses the 410km of groomed ski runs in the area) and most famously, Sestriere.

The Franco Italian ski area, which links 145 ski runs, 94 lifts and 950 snow cannons, also enjoys sunshine and exceptional natural snow throughout the season.
