Full review

Me and my friends are hardcore snowboarders, we're spoiled by the big mountains up north and out west, but we live in Knoxville and Ober is less than an hour away. We had season passes this year, and every Saturday we were there as soon as it opened and left when it closed. The mountain is very small but it's good for this far south, and when you compare it to the other mountains around here like Cataloochee, which is only slightly bigger but way more packed, Ober is nice. Also, Ober is different than any other mountain...you'll be sitting on the ski lift and the crazy redneck kids will fly down the mountain and nail someone. So, if you are a decent skiier or snowboarder stay off the easy trails to avoid being nailed, and believe me, you will get nailed if you go on an easy run, it happens all the time. (P.S.-if your looking for a terrain park, Ober isn't the mountain you want to visit, they don't have one.)
