Szczyrk is a town located in the southern part of Silesia, 15 km from Bielsko- Biała and 17 km from Żywiec in the South. The town lies from 460 to 600 m.a.s.l. and belongs to Beskid Śląski. It occupies the upper part of Żylica River in Salmopolska Pass region. From the northern part Szczyrk is surrounded by Klimczok Massif (1119 m.a.s.l.), and by Skrzyczne peaks (1257 m.a.s.l.) and Malinów (1095 m.a.s.l.).

Szczyrk has a lot to offer to winter sports enthusiasts thanks to its geographic location. From perfect skiing conditions, through a huge number of ski routes, to big and diverse accommodation base.

There are several ski resorts with diverse infrastructure, number of lifts and difficulty level. Nearby the lifts you can easily rent ski and snowboard equipment or use the offer of ski schools. For cross-country skiing enthusiasts there are cross-country routes waiting, moreover, in the town there is a ski jump complex “Skalite” waiting, (K-95, K-70, K-40), on which the competitions take place.

Accommodation and gastronomic base is developed and diverse. Places for guests are in hotels, guest houses and guest rooms with different standards and prices.

To Szczyrk it is easy to get with the routes nr 942 through Bielsko-Biała. The second, less frequently attended, leads from Wisła.

Tourists planning the trip with the train or bus, have to first get to Bielsko-Biała, where the change will be necessary.

From Szczyrk you can easily get to the towns which belong to Beskidzka Piątka (5): Brenna, Istebna, Ustroń and Wisła, which perfectly complete the offer for skiers.
