San Bernardino

San Bernardino is without doubt the most known and appreciated tourist destination of the Mesolcina Valley and all the "Moesano" (Mesolcina and Calanca) near the Italian border. San Bernardino is known as a very snow-secure destination for winter sports. The 40-km tracks, which are carefully prepared by expert staff, are ideal for beginners, as well as skilled skiers. For carving skiers, San Bernardino offers an ideal variety of very wide tracks. The snowfields are situated at an altitude of 2500m and offer a wonderful panorama on the "terraces" of the surrounding mountains. The area has 8 ski lifts at its disposal: 4 ski-lifts, 1 chair-lift, 1 cableway and 2 ski-lifts for beginners.
