Recently visited Interlaken after our last visit in 1992. Noticed many changes, better choice of restaurants (including a nice Mcdonalds), everything seemed much busier and generally more affordable. We stayed at the Toscana Hotel just off the Hoheweg which was pleasant and comfortable, staff friendly and very helpful. It was also convenient for all the shops and restaurants and not too far from Interlaken Ost which is the main departure station for trips to Murren/Schilthorn, Jungfrau(top of Europe), Grindlewald etc. As we approach retirement we intend to visit many more places in Switzerland and will probably spend a good part of each year there.
Well worth a visit.
