Riksgransen isa a wonderful resort that is well worth the effort to get there. We took the overnight sleeper from Stockholm which was a great experience in itself. The last few hours in daylight you see the frozen Arctic wastes and when you finally reach Riksgransen a giant difgger was waiting and we threw our skis and bags uin to the scoop of that for the short trip down to the hotel.

The hotel is a huge complex which contains a lot of rather grotty apartments that were full of students when we visited, I think there's a nicer hotel part too. There are vast halls that are used to feed everyone and a nightclub again full of grungey Nordic types.

The ski area is like a huge terrain park, with great bumps and jumps everywhere and the chance to ski over the border in to Norway. It's really good fun stuff and there's a good artmosphere.

The only thing I didn't personally like about the place was that there were hundreds of snowmobiles which went out all over the place making it seem like you were staying in a city centre, rather than the middle of nowhere, because of all the noise they made.
