  • On Ice In Breckenridge

    Old Man Winter is in Breckenridge. That's the winning sculpture in this year's Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championship, a creation of Team Oregon. The sculpture is of an older man reflecting on his life with a satisfied grin. Thousands of spectators watched as 14 teams from six countries participated in the event, now in its 17th year.     You can catch artists in action in downtown Breckenridge right now. The frigid cold is the perfect way to compete for ice sculpting teams who are traveling to Colorado from around the world.   • Jeep Flies High at Copper

    Big air and superpipe stunts will be all over Copper Mountain later this month, for the Jeep U.S. Freeskiing Open. It's the tenth year for the event, to be held January 17-21 at the Summit County resort. The prize purse totals $60,000 and over 300 athletes are expected to compete in Slopestyle, Superpipe and Big Air. Full Article

  • Breckenridge Gets a New Gondola

    Breckenridge has reached a milestone in its development with the opening of the new BreckConnect Gondola. With room for eight, the gondola connects Breckenridge's main parking lot off Main Street, with the ski resort's base areas. Full Article

  • Colorado Storm Slams Front Range - Again

    Once again, a big holiday storm slammed Colorado's Front Range. This time, the snow piled up post-Christmas, and hit Denver and Boulder the hardest. Resorts closer to the Front Range got the most snow, such as Eldora, SolVista Basin, and Loveland. Winter Park loved the snow, as you can see from the powder picture. Full Article
