The SSAA comprises seventeen areas that offer skiing and snowboarding in five states: Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Our areas are accessible from Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Richmond,VA, Virginia Beach,VA, Pittsburgh,Pa, to Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC and Atlanta, Ga. The SSAA provides snow condition reports, resort profiles and individual resort web site access. In addition to winter sports, each resort offers a variety of spring, summer and fall activities for the entire family.
