Home run was definitely open. Great day on the Mountain, no wind, wasn't freezing, and it was sunny! It was my first time on Squaw and I loved it! The Greens were a little tracked out, but the blacks were surprisingly powdery! Enjoy It
skied yesterday with some clients. they have decent snow in the back bowls but wait for a dusting of powder to soften the ice. great day!!! cold kept some off the mountain. wind was big at top but 10 runs in 2 hrs on the backside bowls.
Take your Rock skis and Sharpen your edges - I just had to stretch the legs and run the boards - northstar was better but they really need snow in Tahoe. In my useless opinion they don't really have enough on several runs to groom properly. STR
Make sure your edges are sharp! Any areas that are exposed to wind are an ice skating rink. Found a decent area (decent being a relative term) to the right of Granite between the trees and cliffs, which is more protected from the wind.
